Statement
Yunda Suh (South Korea), a media artist from South Korea, is currently based in Bremen, Germany, where I am pursuing a Fine Arts diploma at the University of the Arts Bremen. My academic journey includes an undergraduate degree in Digital Media from the same institution, preceded by studies in Digital Arts in South Korea and professional experience as a motion graphic designer.
Additionally, I have worked as a content producer focusing on Korea.
My artistic practice centers on the themes of diversity and coexistence, explored primarily through interactive art installations and video works. As a versatile artist, I employ a wide array of media, including performance art, video, sound art, and design. Currently, my focus lies in creating hexagon-shaped wooden canvases filled with knitting, an innovative approach that merges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary art.
In addition to my artistic endeavors, I manage a YouTube channel that chronicles the life of an artist living in Germany, offering insights into my creative process and experiences.
In April 2024, I was honored to receive a scholarship from Closeup by Nordmedia, which enabled me to present my work at Filmfest Bremen. This recognition has further reinforced my commitment to exploring and advocating for the recognition of diversity through my art.
My ultimate goal is to become a globally active media installation artist, dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of diversity in all its forms. Through my work, I aim to create spaces for dialogue and reflection, encouraging viewers to engage with and embrace the rich tapestry of human experience.
